‘Bone Appetit’ Halloween Tags

This past Saturday, I headed out to Saunders Farm with my fellow OVM’s and their families for some innocent scary fun (although after the haunted hay ride, I don’t think OVM Crystal will think it was an innocent scary ride My sides are still hurting from all the laughter!). We wanted to do some special for the kiddies who were able to join us with their parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/etc, so as the resident stamper I jumped at the chance to make the little candy bags with a super cute (but easy) Halloween tag to go along with it.

Since I’m a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I used all Stampin’ Up! products with a few exceptions, but these could be replicated using similar stamps you have at home.

Supplies:

  • Lucky Limeade & Pumpkin Pie ink pads
  • Lucky Limeade, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black & Whisper White cardstock
  • Monster Munchies stamp set
  • 1 1/4″ circle, 1 3/8″ circle & scallop circle punches, and a handheld hole puncher
  • adhesive, dimensionals, ribbon & googly eyes

Steps:

1. Stamp your ‘bone appetit’ image using Pumpkin Pie or Lucky Limeade ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch out the image using the 1 1/4″ circle punch.

2. Punch a circle out of basic black cardstock using the 1 3/8″ circle punch. Layer your stamped image using adhesive onto the Basic Black circle.

3. Punch a scallop circle out of Pumpkin Pie or Lucky Limeade (the opposite colour of what you stamped with). Adhere the layered stamped image to the scallop circle using dimensionals.

4. Punch a hole at the top using a large hole puncher. Thread your ribbon (I just used some inexpensive black curly ribbon) through the hole and tie around the treat bag! Add some candy & there you have it! To step it up a notch add some googly eyes, because seriously everything is a whole lot cuter when you can add some googly eyes

I hope you enjoyed the quick tutorial and can see how just a little something extra can add a whole lot of WOW! If there is anything that I used that you would like to learn more about feel free to email me at my stamping email address,

adorable, can't wait to see what you will be posting for Christmas time. Do you give private classes or workshops if one of the OVM subscribers is interested? How are you contacted normally?
