I grew up shopping at The Body Shop, but really have never used their make-up other than lip gloss. I am familiar with their great lotions, bubble bath, and wonderful scents! So, I was very excited to be able to sample some of the products from The Body Shop’s make-up line! I had the opportunity to try out The Body Shop’s Dazzling Rocks in shade 01 – Golden Copper. Along with that, I was sent the Slanted Kabuki Brush to apply the bronzer/shimmer!
I currently have a bronzer that I have used, so was glad to be able to try this one out! I am usually afraid to buy a new one for fear that it will look too fake or be too dark since I am fair skinned. I also LOVE sparkly things so was eager to see how the shimmer would come into play!
So my opinion!? I LOVE them! The Slanted Kabuki Brush is nice and dense. It can pick up a nice amount of powder from the Dazzling Rocks, without it getting all over the place. The brush feels very soft against the skin too which is always good! It is also compact so would travel great! It retails for $28 and you can find more information here.
The Dazzling Rocks give a really nice colour! I found that my face had a nice golden glow to it. You can use a little of it, or a lot – to give a different amount of bronzer and shimmer to your skin! The Rocks were really easy to use too, and the case is also great! Has a nice twist on lid, to ensure there is really no mess! These rocks cost $26, which might seem a bit steep depending on what you normally spend on make-up, but I forsee them lasting quite a long time! If you would like more info, you can find it on their website here.
Overall I am thrilled with the results and trying these, it makes me want to go in and take a look at the other products that The Body Shop offers in their make-up lines!

Like Crystal, I hadn’t used The Body Shop for make up before aside from lip gloss so when the e-mail came into my inbox about their new winter trend make-up, I had to see what the fuss was all about! I chose The Sparkler to review, mostly because of the bottle. I LOVE the bottle. It is sexy and feminine with it’s boudoir style pump and frosty glass bottle. I also happen to love anything that sparkles and have recently begun to infuse lots of sparkle into my make-up collection.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since the bottle is a bit intimidating at first. The reason? Well… most bottles with that style of pump have liquid inside of them – not powder. But, I gave it a whirl anyway, misting the iridescent powder onto my hands first. It was gorgeous! So, I put my brave face on and misted my face, my neck, my chest and shoulders. It was so pretty.
This is the perfect addition to your make-up collection because it’s easy to use, adds the perfect amount of sparkle and since it comes out in such a fine, misted powder, you can’t even tell you’ve added anything — perfect for those of you who like to keep things light.
Check out The Sparkler – Dazzling Copper at The Body Shop or online here. It retails for $24.
