The Renfrew Public LIbrary has a lot of interactive story times for kids of all ages.

DECEMBER 2012 So Glad To Be Me

Jen Charbonneau is passionate about building self-esteem and strength in girls and women today. As a parent of two “awesome” daughters, and one “great” son and having overcome her own struggles with self-esteem, she has a mission to help girls recognize that their true beauty comes from within. She successfully created and facilitates “So Glad 2 Be Me”, a healthy body image/self esteem workshop for girls ages 8-12 years. Click here for the schedule.

Annual Live Nativity” Walk Thru Bethlehem
Wesley Community Church, 210 Renfrew St., Pembroke, Ont.
20 minute guided tour through 12 scenes re-enacting the Biblical story of the Saviour’s birth.
60 characters in costume as well as live animals. Children will be able to take their turn feeding the donkey and sheep. Refreshments and goodies will be served. Something new every year!

Hosted by The County of Renfrew Paramedic Service
The County of Renfrew Paramedics are pleased to host the 2nd Annual
Toy and Food Drive at the Renfrew Walmart. Paramedics will be
volunteering on Dec. 8, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until the closing of the store.
Accepted will be unwrapped toys, food or financial donations to support
the Salvation Army and Renfrew Food Bank.
Help us build on last year’s success to ensure local children and families have

Killaloe Santa Claus Parade
It’s time to visit Killaloe again. Santa Claus has his ear to the ground and his
deer in the sky! Watch the Killaloe Santa Claus parade. Then visit Santa and Mrs.Claus
at the Lion’s Hall, 18 Lake Street, as the elves hand out goodies! Santa’s helpers will also
be collecting contributions to the Community Resource Centre Christmas Food and Toy Drive.
Sponsored by the Killaloe and Area Lion’s Club. Parade floats and parade entries are to meet at
Mike’s Tires in Killaloe at 12 noon.
