Share your ugly old Christmas tree photos and be entered to win a $200 Canadian Tire gift card that will help you create designer holiday looks for less!

The Charlie Brown Christmas Tree has been a part of holiday traditions for a long time and, if you have one, I’m sure you’ve longed for the day when you can have a gorgeous Christmas tree as seen in magazines or stores. The good news is, thanks to the holiday hues and styles created by design expert Debbie Travis, you can create fresh new holiday looks without throwing out all your old decorations. This year, Debbie has worked with Canadian Tire to create a stunning assortment of Christmas decor in a spectrum of styles and colours including this year’s trend colour – purple. Whatever your favourite colour, they have tree trimmings, coordinating room decor, and innovative indoor and outdoor lights to meet every style and budget. What’s more, by mixing in new decor pieces with your existing traditional ornaments, you can create a whole new holiday look that is uniquely yours.

Here’s what to do:

1. E-mail your photo to with the subject line “Ugly Christmas Tree”
2. Include your name and location (ex: Renfrew, Ontario)
3. Pop over and like the
4. Be sure to like as well (that’s where the next part of the contest will happen!)

Here’s how the contest will work:

1. Starting today, December 1, and going until next Saturday, December 8, we’ll accept your photos
2. On Sunday, December 9, we’ll post the top 10 ugly Christmas trees, chosen by the OVMs, on Facebook and open the voting to the public
3. Public voting will stay open until Sunday, December 16 (public voting is done by ‘liking’ the photo of the tree you think is the ugliest!)
4. The top three photos will move into the finals and we’ll have a representative from Canadian Tire choose the winner on Monday, December 17!

The winner will receive a $200 Canadian Tire gift card that they can use in any Canadian Tire store!
