Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Center Play and Learn Drop In. Every Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday from 9-11:30am. All children 0-6 and their parents and caregivers are invited to come to this interactive playgroup. Ongoing: Arnprior Early Years Well Baby Drop- In. The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month beginning at 9:30am. A nurse from the Public Health Unit will be available to discuss infant and toddler growth, development and other parenting issues. Ongoing: Story Time at the Almonte Library. Every Friday from September – June.  Drop-in Story Time Fridays 10:00 am – 10:30 am Children 2-3 years of age. Enjoy interactive, fast paced stories, rhymes and songs. Parents and caregivers are required to stay with their children and siblings are welcome to join in. Pre-registered Story Time Fridays 11:00 am – 11:45 am Children 4 years of age and olderRegistration is required before 3 pm on Thursday.More involved stories and a craft are offered.  Parents and caregivers are not required to stay in the library.

Ongoing: Words 2 Live By with Jen Charbonneau – Various dates and locations. This unique after school/lunch time program offers girls a chance to gather with others who share their challenges, their interests and their desire to learn new things. The program is designed to help girls sort through the daily “drama” that can influence friendships, self esteem, thoughts of “where I fit in” and everyday challenges. Each session will combine group discussions and creative expression through journaling and scrapbooking. Ongoing: Friday November 9th & 23rd from 1-3pm Tot Time Cafe A community drop-in for moms and caregivers on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 1 – 3:00 p.m.  Children play close by while moms enjoy some time to chat.  Gourmet coffee and snacks are available.  At the Arnprior Wesleyan Church. Ongoing: Ladies Group Fitness in Arnprior - (All levels welcome) Fitness Centre (downstairs of the Quality Inn Hotel). Ongoing: November 8th, 15th, and 22nd, each evening from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm Making Sense of Discipline at the Arnprior Early Years. Three part video-course by Dr. Gordon Neufeld, facilitated by Darlene Denis-Friske from the ACYCC. In this course, Dr. Gordon Neufeld, a foremost Canadian child development expert speaks to the question of discipline, and ‘what to do when’, from the much larger context of what is attachment-safe, developmentally-friendly, and supportive of healthy maturation and psychological growth. This should be a very thought provoking course as we navigate a consideration of the impact of some of the prevailing contemporary discipline practices. $60.00 per person / $80.00 per parenting couple. Ongoing: Preschool PAL (play and learn) program at the Arnprior Early Years This delightful two hour program focuses on thematic units that encourage curiosity, self direction and confidence. Daily activities such as circle time, a science based activity, craft, stories and songs will surely delight our toilet trained preschoolers while providing a well deserved break for mom or dad.  Snack will be provided.  This is a drop off program. Ongoing: Preschool Art Classes at the Arnprior Early Years Introduce your child to an exciting world of art through this ongoing series of classes. Each week your child will explore the many possibilities that art has to offer. Explore painting, sculpture, mixed media, drawing and more.  This is a drop off program. Thursday November 1st 7-9pm Bali to Almonte Fashion Show, the White Lilly presents a Fashion Show with a “Bali Theme”at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum (MVTM) in Almonte. This is not only a for the Museum, but a very special opportunity for locals to visit South East Asia by having Bali come to them! There will be a raffle taking place at the show with the prize being over $1000 worth of clothing! Located at 3 Rosamond Street East in Almonte. Saturday November 10th 9am-9pm Christmas Craft and Scrapbooking Day at the Arnprior Early Years Join us on Saturday November 10th for a day of Christmas crafting and scrapping!! If you are looking for a great way to scratch a few people off your Christmas list and have a fun ladies day away, this is the place for you. We will have 4 craft projects that you can sign up for, ranging from $10-$25 per project. We will also be hosting a 12hour scrapping day at the same time for $25 for the day or $20 if you are doing a project. Projects will be on display in the Center and our Facebook group.
