About Ottawa Valley Moms
Ottawa Valley Moms was founded in July of 2012. After many, many playgroups and girl’s dinners out, the five co-founders decided to take their private chatter public so that they could engage with other woman and moms (and dads too!) in their local area and beyond. The site features stories about life, love and motherhood and it also features giveaways, product reviews and local features like monthly events.

Crystal, Mother of 2
Crystal is a work-at-home mom to two beautiful children. She and her husband have been married since 2004 and they live in a quiet little village just west of Ottawa. Never a dull moment doing the most important job there is – raising your family! Crystal is also a blogger for the CHEO Moms & Dads Blogger program.
Erin, Mother of 1
Erin is a work-at-home mom with a 20-month old daughter named Willow. She and her husband Steve have been married since 2005 and they live in the suburbs of Ottawa. Erin is a CHEO Moms & Dads blogger, a Kellogg’s blogger, a YouTube partner, the founder of a virtual assistance company and the founder of an online marketing firm. When she isn’t working she enjoys reading, couponing, going to the movies and gardening.
Melissa, Mom-in-Training
Melissa is not yet a mom but being a mom is definitely on Melissa’s radar! She and her husband have been married since 2011 and are currently living in the suburbs of Ottawa. Melissa is an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and works outside of the home as well. She loves to travel and spend time with friends.
Tricia, Mother of 1
Tricia is a work-at-home mom to one little boy. She and her husband have just celebrated another wedding anniversary and they live in the Ottawa Valley. Tricia has traveled the world and has lived in many countries around the globe, which gives her a unique insight into how different yet similar moms around the world are. Tricia can also be found blogging at Ottawa Family Living Magazine.

About Fleur Bickford BSc., RN, IBCLC, LLLL
I am a private practice lactation consultant in Ottawa Ontario, and I am able to meet with you and your family in the comfort of your own home, or in my Barrhaven based home office, to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals.
I am a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences from Queen’s University. I have worked as a nurse in labour and delivery, mother and baby care, and pediatrics. It was during my time on the obstetrics unit that I developed a love of working with new families.
I am the mother of two breastfed children, and after experiencing breastfeeding challenges with our second child, I discovered La Leche League, and a passion for helping other families with breastfeeding. I became a La Leche League Leader in 2007, and in 2009 I wrote and passed the exam to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
I am a strong believer in meeting families where they are, and helping them to achieve their own personal goals for breastfeeding.

Jessica, Mother of 2
Jessica is a working mom with two sons – ten-year-old Ethan and two-year-old Camden. Jessica and her husband have been married since 2008 and live in the suburbs of Ottawa. Jessica works at an online media agency where she uses her super-mommy-planning powers to manage and develop projects. She is often found online tweeting or pinning or with her nose deep in a book.
