Today is the OFFICIAL launch date for the Ottawa Valley Moms website and we are SO EXCITED to share this with YOU!

Ottawa Valley Moms (OVM) is a website dedicated to life, love and motherhood and is written by four Ottawa Valley moms and one Ottawa Valley mom-in-training.  Each of us has a different story to tell and a different background that shapes our opinions, decisions and choices.  Through daily blog posts, we’ll be sharing these opinions with you and encouraging you to participate in active discussions on the site.

Crystal is a mother of two and lives in the Ottawa Valley, Tricia is a mother of one and lives in the Valley, Nina is a mother of two who lives just outside of Ottawa, Erin is a mother of one who lives in Kanata and Melissa is our mom-in-training who lives in the Ottawa suburbs.  You can learn more about the OVMs here.

To make sure you know about the features that the site has to offer, here is a little tour of the new digs:

  • OVM Book Club – each month, on the first of the month, we’ll be announcing a new book club selection.  You can then choose whether or not you’d like to read the book with us and participate in discussions around our book selection.  These discussions will happen on a forum on our Facebook page so that it is easy and accessible!  The best part is, we’ll be partnering up with the authors of our selections to bring you signed book giveaways, video interviews and more!
  • OVM Events – we have an events calendar right here on our site where we will be posting some of the events happening in and around the Ottawa Valley.  Below the calendar, you’ll also find a list of event sites where you can find even more info!  You’ll never be bored again :) We’re also going to be announcing our OVM Launch Party / Tweet Up / Girl’s Night Out soon so STAY TUNED for that!
  • Giveaways! – everyone’s favorite thing!  We’ll be hosting giveaways on our site often and the linked page will show you all of the giveaways that are coming up!  To celebrate our launch, we’ll be hosting two weeks of giveaways!  We kick off our giveaways today at 9AM… make sure to enter!
  • Get Advice – we would love to receive your burning questions so that we can answer them in a future blog post or on our Facebook page!  If you’re interested, click on Get Advice and send us your questions!

One of the main features of the site are our blog posts.  These are posted up into the main categories you will see above (Beauty & Style, Family, etc.) and they are also organized into sub-categories if you hover over the main categories.  If at any time you are looking for something specific, just use the search function with a keyword of your choice.  If you want to be notified by e-mail when we post a new blog post, !

We also have profiles on , and .  Be sure to follow us on your favourite social media platform (or all of them!) so that you can stay up-to-date with our latest blog posts and giveaways!

Lastly, we’ll also be sending out a monthly newsletter that will feature exclusive giveaways and content!  To sign up for the newsletter, just enter your e-mail address into the box on the right-hand side of our site or by clicking here.  You can unsubscribe whenever you wish!

Erin is a mom to a very outgoing little girl named Willow. Willow was born on November 24, 2010 – three years after Erin and her husband decided to start planning their family. Erin is the owner of an online media agency and also vlogs much of her life on YouTube. She loves reading, writing and sharing her life with others.

    *happy snaps* on the launch of your new site!  As a former Arnpriorite (who still goes "home" to get her hair coloured because nothing beats small town prices or chair chit-chat) who has somehow found herself living in far-flung Orleans - this site seems like the place to be!
